VALLE D'AOSTA ROSSO DOC

Taking risks is the key word in Henri Anselmet’s career, and he could only deal with important grapes such as Merlot and Syrah. And the result is highly positive, having managed, over the years, to tell the story of two of the greatest grape varieties in the world, and also validate the extraordinary worth of the Aosta Valley territory by creating an international perspective that speaks patois.

ET CINIS

ET CINIS

After Trii Rundin and the experiment with Tramontana, Henri wanted to step up his game by producing a macerated version of the renowned “ash-colored” gray grape. The result is a clear, clean and elegant rose wine embodying the strength and structure of a grape that has often shown a delicate version of itself, one that did not fully represent the characteristics which the Aosta Valley has masterfully portrayed more than any other region in history.

Flamingo pink with remarkable transparency and liveliness. The bold nose recalls red apple pulp, fresh fig and blackberry. When swirling the wine, deeper sensations of hawthorn, marjoram and dog rose emerge. Each sip reflects the wide range of aromas, revealing a wine characterized by marked salinity and persistent bitterness that are balanced by the right alcohol content and light tannin

RECOMMENDED PAIRING
Pork belly cooked in toasted onion broth

FEROX

FEROX

The deep affection for the Loire has led to the creation of this wine. The inspiration is evident and easily identifiable since Ferox aims to becoming a great Sauvignon. Henri’s idea is clear: to speak of one’s palate through this truly unusual wine, paying homage to a beloved land with a bottle of profound class.

VALLE D’AOSTA DOC SYRAH

Henri’s maturity: following the labels dedicated to his father and grandfather, it’s time to present the latest addition, Mathieu. A personal and professional challenge that Henri overcame thanks to a wine that is born to last, one that will evolve into an outstanding drink over time. Mathieu expresses the different voices of Syrah: one conveys the Aosta valley; another speaks of the recent but already perfectly enjoyable vintage; and, last but not the least, another is the voice of Henri, who is now on his eighth solo harvest. This wine is another step in a clear and continuous journey towards qualitative and personal development.

LA COPINE

LA COPINE

Over the years, Henri has poured out his creativity, giving life to wines that reflect his idea of wine while respecting the terroir of the Aosta Valley and the peculiarities of the vintage. La Copine comes from the desire to launch a very drinkable white wine, capable of speaking about him, to the market. A label that is the perfect synthesis of the grapes and the territory, a great Sauvignon revealing the Aosta Valley spirit.

Who I Am?

In each Bildungsroman, the moment when the protagonist “grows up” is described.

In my personal history, this transition took place in 2013, when I decided to rent my father’s vineyard and start making wine, without external conditioning, under the name of La Plantze.

DISCOVER MY HISTORY

My

Plots

In Patois, a dialectal variant of the Franco-Provençal language spoken in the Aosta Valley, La Plantze means «terrace».

«terraces» are the vineyards that occupy my working days, plots of land often held up by dry stone walls, typical of the Aosta Valley, which climb up even very steep slopes, at altitudes ranging from 600 to 1000 meters.

My wines are an expression of the season and experimentation.
