Wine,

1935 C.C.

1935 C.C.

Aosta Valley is the smallest region of Italy, but it boasts a great tradition, rather, many small, great traditions. The solid bond that Henri has with his family is the demonstration that certain relations are strong and that they constitute a great quid. In the bottle of 1935 C.C. there is not only the memory of his grandfather Celestino Cavagnet, but also the story of a branch of the family tree and of his birthplace, the village of Cogne. A special dedication to his cognein half, a tribute to the strength of a united family.

About la Plantze

About

Wine placed at the center of the production process

Wine chooses its path of evolution and the winemaking techniques based on its intrinsic characteristics and the season.

Creativity without extremes

A manual processing in the vineyard and in the cellar that is not afraid to dare, though still within an enological vision of great elegance and expressive refinement.

La Plantze is surprised

Surprised of seeing the fruit of one’s efforts bottled, enclosed in labels that change from year to year, truly following the changing of the seasons and the interpretation that I feel I can give.

AL MISTER

AL MISTER

A Viognier-based wine made in amphora. It would seem that we are talking about some Tuscan winery, but Henri has taken some risk and dedicated the results to his father. A wine that comes from the union of two very distant grapes that speak the same language, with Sauvignon giving Viognier the acidity it lacks, further enriching its aromatic bouquet. A risk that has led to the birth of an innovative product marked by great drinkability, aroma and elegance.

Just over 6 hectares along the Dora Baltea, in the Aosta Valley, for a production that does not exceed 20,000 bottles.
La Plantze is the dream of a winery free from regulations and conditions.
The rules are not made by protocols, but by the desire to experiment and to get involved, producing wines from the Aosta Valley for the fearless onlookers.

Who I Am?

In each Bildungsroman, the moment when the protagonist “grows up” is described.

In my personal history, this transition took place in 2013, when I decided to rent my father’s vineyard and start making wine, without external conditioning, under the name of La Plantze.

My

Plots

In Patois, a dialectal variant of the Franco-Provençal language spoken in the Aosta Valley, La Plantze means «terrace».

«terraces» are the vineyards that occupy my working days, plots of land often held up by dry stone walls, typical of the Aosta Valley, which climb up even very steep slopes, at altitudes ranging from 600 to 1000 meters.

My wines are an expression of the season and experimentation.
